Requiem for Reality

Political, hypothetical, existential, hypocritical, technological, philosophical, and musical. Or so I've been told.

Slow Death

I laughed at my hand when it drew the blade.
I told it, I would atone for the sins I've made.
It begged me to take back the life I had made.
And then I pushed it in deeper.

I scorned my two feet for the steps that they took.
I cursed my two eyes for the mirror I looked.
The tears I had laid, had written a book.
And then I drove it in deeper

It slipped past the flesh...it slipped past the soul
It ripped through reality, and carved out a hole
My skin became ashen...my heart became cold
And then...I pushed it in deeper

Our blood became time, my hands became numb
my heart was the words on the tip of your tongue
The agony was sweet...we had succumb
And then....you were in peace
